Theme
New Zealand is the last continent colonized by people. It is not only well known for its clean and beautiful natural environment, but also for its unique fauna, flora and its achievement in animal conservation. Therefore, the theme of the 11th ISIZ is “Zoological studies for animal conservation”
Working Language
The working language for the symposium and training course is English.
Call for Symposiums
The broad theme of the 11th ISIZ enables a wide range of topics for symposia. Proposals for symposia will be accepted on a “first come, first serve” basis following approval by our academic committee. Proposals can be submitted as early as December 1, 2018

Call for presentations
Both oral and poster presentations are accepted forms of presentations at 11th ISIZ. Please indicate your preference for which presentation type when submitting the abstract. Standard oral presentations shall have a maximum 15min including question time. The dimensions of the poster should be 118.9cm x 84.1cm.
Publication of Papers Presented at the Symposium
Submitted abstracts for the Symposium will be collated in the Symposium Program Book for attendees. Manuscripts of presented talks or posters from the Symposium can be prepared for submission, peer review and publication in Integrative Zoology (INZ), the official SCI-indexed journal of ISZS. Cancellations/Changes and Refunds: Fees for missed meals, late arrivals, and early departures will not be refunded. A 50% refund will be granted if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing no later than 31 October 2019. After that date, fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the conference. Substitutions are allowed at no charge.

Integrative Zoology Subscription
Integrative Zoology (INZ) is a multidisciplinary scientific journal. Its current Impact Factor is 1.856, ranking 40/166in Zoology (ISI JCR report). It is also the official journal of ISZS publishing zoological research that compass all aspects of animal life. About ISZS
The ISZS was established in Beijing in 2004 as the main international zoological body charged with organizing the International Congress of Zoology (ICZ) and providing a global voice for zoologists. It is also a nonpartisan, nonprofit membership-based organization of professionals that aims to:

The core business of ISZS includes organizing the International Congress f Zoology (ICZ, started in 1889 and held every four years), publishing Integrative Zoology (INZ),a multidisciplinary scientific journal which is SCI and Medline Indexed, organizing the International Symposia of Integrative Zoology (ISIZ) in non-Congress years, and facilitating international research programs, such as Biological Consequences of Biological Sciences (BCGC). Currently, there are over 100 institutional members(representing over 30,000 zoologists), including scientific academies, universities, NGOs, nature reserves, zoos and other professional societies from every continent, as well as more than 1000 individual members, with ISZS.
ISZS Membership is open to any individual or organization with an interest in animals worldwide. Currently, there are two categories of membership at ISZS, Institutional and Individual. Institutional Members are required to pay 500€ per 4-year term and Individual Members 40€ per 4-year term to enjoy the voting rights at the ISZS General Assembly (GA).
